April Lockhart (born July 4 in 1995) began her musical journey in the 7th grade when she took guitar and piano classes. At the age of 12, she composed her first single called Different. She spent a lot of time when she was 14 making songs and practicing music. She began writing alongside her father in NY and LA within a short time. April also began incorporating other relevant topics into the Take my Hand song for some friends, such as peer-pressure issues and suicide among teens. Lockhart is a lifestyle and beauty influencer who has a growing number of followers. She collaborates with the renowned brand Ilia in partnership, and is also a specialist in lifestyle. Her birthplace didn't come with a left-hand, which is what makes her who she is. It's just not the full story. Lockhart doesn't deny her disability in her posts on Instagram, however she isn't making it the focal point of it. What message is it sending? The message? She still admits having gone through a series of phases in her body, and felt uncomfortable in certain situations wearing outfits that showcased the arms of her. Today, she wears anything she wants. She also posts her pictures to social media. Self-love, according to her, is a kind of journey. "I don't think you'll be there," she said.
