Arike Ogunbowale

Arike Ogunbowale, an American professional basketball player with the Dallas Wings in the Women's National Basketball Association. She was drafted with the 5th spot in the 2019 WNBA Draft by the Dallas Wings. Arike Ogunbowale was born February 2nd in 1997 in Milwaukee Wisconsin to parents Yolanda and Gregory Ogunbowale. Mario Ogunbowale was her 26-year-old brother and Dare Ogunbowale, 20 years of age. She was the eldest child in her family and her parents spoiled her the most. Gregory was her father. He was in her father's army, the Nigerian Army quite a while. Ogunbowale's family has an active family history. Her mother Yolanda was a softball player for DePaul as did her brother Dare. Dare plays football. Her Aunt was a player at UAPB and her cousin Endia Oliver plays volleyball on the field at Tennessee State. Ogunbowale is on the school honour roll for three consecutive years. Aside from her fame, she's been awarded numerous awards during her schooling. Arike graduated from Divine Savior Holy Angels High School situated in her hometown. Arike also participated in three varsity seasons while studying there. Ogunbowale led her team to amazing victories thanks to her incredible skill multiple times. The high school graduate compiled her record with 73 career start and a list of career numbers that include seven39 and 1,477 rebound. Ogunbowale was awarded gold medals at the 2013 FIBA Americas U16 Championship as well as the 2014 FIBA U17 World Championship, as well as the 2013 FIBA 3x3 U18 Championship. In July 7, 2014, she was also named for the 2014 USA Youth Olympic Women's Basketball Team. Ogunbowale is also selected to the ACC All-Freshman Team after her debut collegiate season.
